Danielle and Scott's Golden Gate Park Engagement Session

In their first email to me, Danielle mentioned that she loved that as a couple they are always able to make the best out of any given situation. They showed me that on my visit to San Francisco. They were super understanding when we relocated their engagement session from Twin Peaks when the city decided to fog us out up there. We pressed on and quickly figured out a backup plan and still got in some good session time. And they smiled and laughed the whole way through.

My wife and I are dog owners and we love our little guy more than we could ever say. One of the other things that drew me to them was when Danielle mentioned their "two precious babies," their dogs Oreo and Belle. Tragically, in the time since our session Danielle and Scott lost both of their sweet pups within weeks of each other. I cannot even imagine how that must feel. All I can say is that I am sending love their way and good vibes into the universe for them as they try to make the best of things.

Here are some of my favorite images from our time together at Golden Gate Park

Alisa and Eric's Downtown Phoenix Wedding

If you know me or follow my work, you may know I love to use my work to highlight locations my couples have chosen. They picked their venue for a reason; now let's flaunt it. Eric and Alisa chose to do everything from getting ready right down to the reception at the same location. And what a location. As soon as I walked in this building I knew we were going to have fun with it. Grace Lutheran Church has some amazing architectural details, history, and charm packed into every corner of the space.

Clearly, Alisa and Eric have good taste. I know this because of the space they chose, the fact that this allowed them to spend more time with the wonderful people they love...and that love of Thai food.

Here are some of my favorite images from their wedding in Phoenix.

Maddie and Adam's Salt River Engagement Session

I love it when recent transplants to Arizona want to show off the amazing natural landscape we have here to their family members back home. When I was a young kid, we moved from Minnesota to Arizona, and I didn't like the look of the desert for a long time. I was so used to green. That's all I knew. Since becoming an adult however, I realize more every day just how magical this desert is and all the beauty this state has to offer. But I digress. I had an amazing time with these former Washingtonians as we explored the Salt River area. They even laughed it off when some jerk in the river told them marriage was a trap. That seems pretty Arizona to me too. :)

Here are some of my favorite images from their Salt River engagement session.
