Chelsea and Vic's Downtown Tucson Engagement Session

Tucson is pretty rad. Some Phoenicians (likely ASU alums or fans) like to talk trash with our neighbor city to the south. Not me. Everytime I go there I have a good time and I find cool things. Heck, they should get tons of respect just for being home of Eegee’s and those delicious fruit freezes. But this already cool city consistently gets better. Cue Chelsea and Vic. After our FaceTime consult about their wedding, I was really excited to meet them in person. On a rainy wintery day, we explored all over downtown for their Tucson engagement session. We saw cool murals and neat spaces…and only had to duck into buildings a couple times to warm up and avoid getting soaked. Extra credit to them for being so great about the conditions. We were rewarded with a rainbow and one of my favorite sessions yet.

Can’t wait to head back to Tucson next month for their awesome wedding at Sanctuary Cove. The reception is going to be at Borderlands Brewing Company…a cool spot whose exterior makes a cameo in a couple of these shots. For now, enjoy those and some of my other favorite photos from their Tucson engagement session.

Rain or shine, we can make cool art together. Drop me a note and let’s talk about your wedding or engagement session and make some magic.

Emily and Kevin's Agua Linda Farm Engagement

Emily and Kevin are goofy with each other in all the right ways. One of my favorite traits of loving people. And they know how to spread that love around. Just ask their four rescue dogs. I can only hope to hit that number someday. (don't tell my fiancé)

I'll be their wedding photographer this April when they get married in Tucson at Agua Linda Farm and I can't wait for the fun. I am sure Emily will be a knockout in her dress, which is being handmade by her mother. In the meantime, we met up at the wedding location at sunrise to check out the spot with a little different light than we'll have on the big day. Here are some of my favorites from their Tucson engagement session.

Aaron Kes (me!) is a Phoenix wedding photographer who also shoots weddings in Scottsdale, Tempe, the United States of America, and Earth. Seriously, I love to travel to shoot and do so often. Let's have some fun!

Katie and Jeremy's San Francisco Engagement

Katie and Jeremy love hiking and exploring new places, but some places are worth staying in. They met years ago in upstate New York while at college, lived in NYC for a few years, moved to Chicago for work, and have recently settled in the bay area. Shortly before moving to San Francisco, they got engaged. They are ready to build a home. They've loved every minute of their time in this new community.

Speaking of loving every minute of it, they were a treat to photograph. Constantly smiling and laughing; they know how to have fun. Even when Jeremy doesn't get to wear his debonair blazer. Next time, man. Next time.

To celebrate their new home, we did their engagement photos at the incredible Land's End. Stunning is a word photographers throw around too often when using to describe how a person, place, or light looks. With this park, you couldn't say it enough.
