Janell and Luke's Intimate Superstition Mountains Wedding

I’m pretty excited whenever I get to photograph a wedding that includes a dog. Extra excited, and flattered, when asked to shoot a wedding for someone featuring their dog…especially when this person happens to be into photography and already takes amazing pictures of their dog. Janell and Luke are two intrepid souls who moved to Tucson from Wisconsin pretty much for the adventure of it. They spend a lot of time wandering this country of ours taking in the beautiful scenery with their pup, Nessie. Janell takes amazing pictures of Nessie in these breathtaking spots. How appropriate then for Nessie to be featured in their wedding at one of Arizona’s most breathtaking backdrops, the Superstition Mountains.

Their wedding was intimate, relaxed, and incorporated the cutest little twist on a ring bearer and what that meant. See below for some of the best photos from their wedding at Lost Dutchman State Park.

Marian and Joe's Arizona Couples Session

Arizona is a place of real beauty. As a kid who moved from Minnesota it took me a long time to get used to the lack of greenery. However, as an adult, I'd put it up against any state in terms of its jaw dropping sights and overall awe inspiring scenery. This is why I love showing it off to people who are visiting. Marian and Joe are from New York and came into town for vacation because they wanted to see what our state had to offer. We talked about cool places to go...and places to get good food. That's another must when one goes anywhere. But at the heart of their session was the places we were. I not only got to show them the beautiful desert, we even took a little tour downtown.

Here are some of my favorite images we made during their Superstition Mountains and Downtown Phoenix couples session.

Alisa and Eric's Superstition Mountains Engagement Session

Alisa and Eric love Thai food more than I do. And that's saying a lot. Ask them and they'll probably give you the rundown of all the best spots. Because of them, I'm on a quest to try the spicy eggplant. I plan to check it off before their upcoming wedding in downtown Phoenix later this year. First up, we had a blast wandering around Lost Dutchman State Park for their engagement session. Can't beat those romantic mountains as a backdrop for such nice people.

Here are some of my favorite images from their Superstition Mountains engagement session.
